2027 LOUISIANA ANESTHESIOLOGY 
Call for Abstracts

 

 

KEY DATES
  • Sunday, October 25, 2026 - Submission Deadline

  • Monday, November 9, 2026 – Notification of Acceptance

  • Monday, November 30, 2026 – Confirm your participation by email

  • Thursday, February 18, 2027 – Hotel Reservation Deadline

  • Sunday, February 21, 2027 – ePosters are due to LSA

  • Thursday, February 25, 2027 - All changes to speakers and abstracts are due

  • Sunday, February 28, 2027 – Podium presentations due to LSA

  • March 12-13, 2027 – LSA Annual Meeting

ELIGIBILITY
  • Anesthesia Residents, Medical Students with an interest in Anesthesiology, and LSA Members.

  • Residents and Medical Students must be in a residency/fellowship training program or medical school in the state of Louisiana.

  • One of the abstract authors must be a member of the Louisiana Society of Anesthesiologists. 

  • All entries should represent original work done by the contestant while training in the state of Louisiana.

 

ABSTRACT SPECIFICATIONS
  • Submit via this web-based submission process only.

  • You may submit more than one abstract, but only the highest scoring will be accepted. 

  • Word Limit: (not counting abstract title, author string, or table/figure) must not exceed 250 words for the entire abstract

  • Structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion 

  • Table or Figure Criteria

    • One table or figure per abstract

    • No identifying information for authors or institutions

    • Tables must not contain more than five columns or ten rows.

 

CASE STUDIES
  • Submit via this web-based submission process only.

  • You may submit more than one case study, but only the highest scoring will be accepted. 

  • Word Limit: (not counting case study title, author string, or table/figure) must not exceed 250 words for the entire abstract

  • Table or Figure Criteria

    • One table or figure per abstract

    • No identifying information for authors or institutions

    • Tables must not contain more than five columns or ten rows.

ASA DISCLOSURE FORM

In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) guidelines, all named authors must complete a disclosure form during the submission process to disclose all financial relationships with any commercial interest. This must be completed by Sunday, October 26, 2026, or we will not accept your abstract. The link to send your authors is below.

PRESENTATION

The LSA Program Committee will decide the presentation format for each accepted abstract.

  • Podium presentation: 5-minute presentation (3-minute presentation with 2-minute discussion)

  • e-Poster presentation: 3-minute presentation within the e-Poster Session 

 

We encourage a faculty representative from the lead author’s program must be present at the annual meeting to support the resident or medical student.
